The 22nd February sees World Thinking Day appear on our calendars. Traditionally, World Thinking Day is a celebration of ten million girls worldwide that has taken place on every 22 February since 1926. It remains a day for all Guides and Girl Scouts to think of each other and celebrate their sisters all around the world and we are supporting this theme by sponsoring the inaugural Hertfordshire Chamber Women in In Leadership Conference at Sopwell House later this month on February 28th.
Here at JPA we are doing a lot of thinking, which has resulted in some big changes to our service portfolio which now include pre-audit waste management, bream and ska consultancy, our overall operation which is low carbon and zero waste and our branding, in particular our move from JPA Furniture to JPA Workspaces, reflected by our website and social media channels - and we have plenty more ideas to implement both soon and in the coming months!
Organisations are taking opportunity to think about how change is affecting their business, how best to deal with these changes and how best to attract and retain the best talent. Have you thought about your business environment lately - what works well for the organisation, what could be improved, or what does the team need to help drive business performance and success?
Workspaces are evolving and now incorporate more mobility, flexibility, online collaboration and virtual meetings. Space is increasingly allocated to activities, not individuals, with work taking place at the most effective locations and times with a flexibility first approach – are your staff able to engage with each other?
Could your workspace be more flexible, could it be re-configured to improve communication or could desks be re-sized to make space for areas of focused work or conversely, social interaction? What would you like to see in your workspace that would improve things for those around you? What would help improve the quality of life and the productivity of your colleagues and employees right now and in the future?
If you are thinking long and hard about changes to your workspace on World Thinking Day, then we'd love to hear from you - that way you are really embracing the day! Lets work together to improve the world around us - starting with your workspace. Call us on 0333 333 6685 or email us on firstname.lastname@example.org.
