JPA have been nominated as finalists in the BusinessGreen Leaders Awards for 2019 in two categories – Best Circular Economy Project and Small Business of the Year
The Leaders Awards provide pioneering businesses with the perfect opportunity to showcase their sustainability efforts, in JPA’s case our sustainable operation, services AND products – project DODO.
To date, we have saved clients over £400,000 in furniture re-use and reconfiguration, re-homed over 3500 furniture items and recycled over 19,500, saving over 500 tonnes of landfill and CO2e. When our clients buy new furniture from us, we add value through our long-term sustainable approach – financial, environmental and social.
The UK's most prestigious and high profile green business awards will bring together the best and brightest from across the green community to celebrate the projects, individuals, teams and organisations that are redefining what it means to be a successful business.
The awards shine a light on the UK's leading green businesses and recognise the immense progress the UK's green business community has made in recent years, as sustainable business models and clean technologies have continued to force their way into the mainstream. The theme of this year's awards is ambition, in recognition of the boldness and determination that now defines all the best green businesses, projects, and initiatives.
The awards celebrate businesses, NGOs, public sector bodies and individuals across 25 different categories and are rigorously judged by a panel of sustainability professionals and green economy leaders. The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 26 June at The Brewery in London
JPA have also been announced as finalists for the National Recycling Awards 2019, this time in three categories – Recycling Excellence, Commercial Team of the Year and Commercial Waste Reduction.
The NRA are the waste management and recycling industry’s leading awards for best practice recognise the great and the good, ensuring those organisations leading the way are awarded for their efforts. JPA’s Commercial and Sustainability Manager says “It is a real achievement to become a finalist at the National Recycling Awards and I’d like to congratulate all of those companies and organisations that have got this far – we’re looking forwards to meeting all the other finalists in June at the awards ceremony and to finding out how they tackle waste.
