JPA Furniture the top spot by winning The Green Award at the Hertfordshire FSB Gala Dinner last night in High Wych. Nominated as a finalist in May, we were delighted to have been short-listed companies from across the county who contested 15 different categories of award. “This award recognises our commitment and continuing investment into a long term sustainable approach to our business activities and I am very proud of all our staff - this has been a real team effort” said John Pulsford, JPA founder and owner.
The Green Award is made each year to recognise improvements sustainable performance. Being “green” in business terms means reducing or removing the harmful impact that products and/or services have on the environment and JPA Furniture used the opportunity to demonstrate sustainability in its widest sense, including all aspects of how our business is operated – waste and energy management, design, process and product improvements, packaging, transportation, procurement, end of life management, client relationships, supplier management, employee engagement and corporate social responsibility.
The presentation was made to Graham Pulsford the Managing Director, Fiona Edwards the Sustainability Director and James Crome in Special Projects who were all totally delighted to have achieved such recognition for the company’s sustainable activities.
As Graham says “Our sustainable activities form the core of our business development strategy and we will continue to further improve and develop our products and services accordingly with end of life and reducing waste in mind whilst striving to have the maximum positive impact on our community”
