JPA Workspaces were honoured to be headline sponsor for the first Women In Leadership conference, organised by the Hertfordshire Chamber of Commerce. This sold-out event was held at Sopwell House, St Albans on 28th February.
Fiona, our Commercial & Sustainability Director was one of the speakers at the event which brought together a host of inspirational and thought-provoking talks from Sarah Howard MBE, Chair of the British Chambers of Commerce and Janet Hayes, Executive Coach, Necton Consulting followed by a panel session chaired by Anita Brightley-Hodges, co-founder of Family Business Place. The afternoon breakout sessions were well attended and vocal and the closing keynote interview with broadcaster, pundit and ex-England Football captain Kelly Smith MBE will be remembered by all for its warmth, honesty and humour.
Throughout the day, there was plenty of networking between the 150 speakers, patrons, sponsors, breakout session presenters, delegates & exhibitors and a real buzz throughout the entire event, we suspect the first of many more to come!
During her talk, Fiona spoke about opportunity; how we all have differing abilities and talents and how she feels that it’s up to us all of us, not simply business leaders, to create access to inclusive, supportive environments where talent can show itself and be allowed to flourish, impacting positively on engagement and well-being. This was well received by all the delegates in the room!
We'd love to thank Rothamsted Enterprises, Herts Chamber of Commerce, Ashbourne Insurance, Austins Funerals, Family Business Place, The LightBulb Tree, The British Chambers of Commerce and everyone else we met, who attended and inspired us as much as (hopefully) we inspired you! We're hoping to see you next year and at all the other upcoming Women In Leadership events.
